Are You Facing Difficulty Following Your New Year's Resolutions?
I am killing my new year's resolutions, not in a good way.
Hello friends,
More than one month has passed since the beginning of 2023, and I am struggling. I am struggling to complete my day-to-day tasks, let alone follow all the promises I made to myself in 2022.
I wanted to write every day, learn new things, read more books, exercise, and so much more. All I did this January was rest. I rested and took medicines.
I am sure you have also read that everything is super important. Until you are sick. Then you realize there was only ever one thing that was important. Your health.
I truly understood this quote this year. Everything is so hard when you’re sick and I hate doing even simple things like getting out of bed in the morning.
But I am feeling a little better now and slowly, I am writing again.
I hope you’re in fine health and enjoying 2023. If you want to learn something about writing, or anything else in general, feel free to send me an email at sushmitas586@gmail.com and I will help you in every way I can.
Have a nice February, my friends!
Articles published in January
Because I was sick, I only have two published articles in January. I wrote something here and there, but my brain was a little foggy and they were not good enough and I didn’t want to edit anything. I hate editing sometimes.
So, here’s what I wrote:
7 Things You Should Never Do if You Want to Be a Professional Writer which was published in The Startup
2 Habits That Can Drastically Improve Your Life in 2023 published in Practice in Public
That’s it. But hopefully, it will be better in February. Maybe.
Book I Read in January
100,000 Words: How to write online alongside your 9–5 by Eve Arnold
It was an amazing book and if you’re struggling to write along with your job, you should definitely check it out. The author is a writer on medium and I just love her work. She’s like a role model to me.
Like the number of articles I have written, the books I have read very little, i.e. just this one.
Other than this, I am also reading The Mountain Is You: Transforming Self-Sabotage Into Self-Mastery by Brianna Wiest. I am about 40% done with this book and I love it. If you want to get rid of your self-sabotaging behavior, you should definitely read this book.
I think you should read this book even if you don’t have self-sabotaging behavior because you’ll learn a lot about yourself and the people around you.
